Yup, these are the newest arrival to the US hobby, Panchlora sp. "White"! They are beautiful, the female is more of an ivory color, but the males are pure white. I bought a sexed pair from Gil Wizen, the author of this blog, and he was nice enough to send a freebie! As far as I know no one else in the US hobby is keeping these yet, though I'm sure that will change, these are a very beautiful species and will probably be really popular in the hobby!
They are easy to keep, I am keeping my mine in a container filled with coconut fiber, a few rotten wood chunks and some crushed dead leaves, and am using bark pieces as hides. I will be feeding them dog food, fruits and veggies, like my other roaches. He sent adults, so hopefully before long my female will give birth to some babies!
They are very skittish, like other Panchlora, and my female flew away as soon as I opened the deli cup she was shipped in, which gave me a little bit of a heart attack. Luckily I quickly recaptured her.
Here are some shoddy pictures, I was too excited to get any good ones and just wanted to announce their arrival as soon as possible, I will do my best to get some good quality pics soon:
