My new
Gyna lurida nymphs I won in a contest have been doing very well! I am keeping them in a medium sized container filled with a substrate of coconut fiber, fir bark and peat moss, and dead leaves. I have a layer of dead leaves and some toilet paper rolls as hides, though these guys are burrowers and they probably won't utilize them. They have been eating dog food, fruits and carrots.
Here are some photos of the nymphs:
Most of the nymphs are pretty small, so it will probably be a while until they mature. I can't wait until they do!
Two of my female
Gromphadorhina sp. "Hybrid" have given birth! There are now dozens of babies crawling around now, and they have been staying close to the adults. I was starting to think the females may not be fertile, and was very surprised to see all the newborn babies in the cage!
Here are some pics of the newborn nymphs:
I am glad the females turned out to be pregnant, soon I'll be up to my knees in hissers!
That's gonna be it for today, I hope you all enjoyed this post! :)
